For the convenience of far off villagers, Narayanpur District Administration has decided to shift some of the ration shops in the district.

In a meeting held on Wednesday, Collector Taman Singh Sonwani directed officials to shift Ration Shop of Abujmarh block to an Ashram building in Rohtad. Similar instruction was given for shifting the Ration Shop from Erka to Tadopal.

The other necessary facilities in these ration shops were also reviewed by the Collector.

Apart from rations shops, Sonwani urged officials to connect more needy people with the employable opportunities under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Regarding this scheme, officers were asked to ensure employable works like pond construction and land levelling.

Sonwani also advised the officials to operate such employable works as per the demands of the villagers.

The water supply facilities for Anjrel village in Narayanpur were discussed in the meeting. Sonwani ordered the officials to manage drinking water supply through the MNGREGA activities.
