Chhattisgarh Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan on Monday asked banned single use plastic in Raj Bhavan.
He asked officials to use cloth materials and gunny or jute bags instead of single use plastic on the occasion of the International Plastic Bag Free Day, an official communication said.
He said plastic pollution was the biggest challenge facing the world today. Everyone has to change their mindset to reduce plastic pollution. Make sure to carry a cloth or jute bag while going to market.
The Governor appealed to the countrymen to take a pledge not to use single use plastic from today.
