Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Monday urged Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to give booster dose against Covid-19 to those already vaccinated and to vaccinate children aged below 18 years.
“Keeping in view the ongoing third wave in the country and the threat of Omicron virus looming large, it is essential that booster dose is administered to the already vaccinated and it must be ensured that the children are also vaccinated,” he said in the letter.
It is observed that the effect of Omicron is more in children and youths and hence they too must be vaccinated at the earliest, Singh Deo stressed.
