Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam’s message will be read out on day one of the month-long ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav’ starting from June 16.
The local public representatives will welcome the new students and different goods will be distributed, an official communication said on Tuesday.
Special programmes will be organised during the first 10 days to ensure public participation.
In guidelines to District Collectors and Chief Executive Officers of Zila Panchayats, the School Education Department has asked them to make the event a mass campaign.
A door-to-door campaign will be held on the third day so that all eligible children are admitted in schools. Parents will be motivated to ensure regular attendance of children.
Students will be taken on excursions on the fourth day. They will be given a book ‘Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh’.
On the fifth day, children will be involved in solving various mathematics problems individually and in groups.
Sports activities will be conducted for children and toys. Children will be motivated to read books.
