The State Government has approved upgrading of seven high schools in five development blocks of Mahasamund district into higher secondary schools.
The School Education Department has made a provision for this sanction in the budget of current fiscal year 2016-17, officials informed. This includes upgrading of Government High Schools in Bhothaldih and Dudumachua of Saraipali block, Government High Schools Ankori and Gidhli of Basna block, and New Government High School Pidi of Mahasamund block, Government High School Chaarbhatha of Pithora and Government High School Bakma in Baghbahara block into Higher Secondary School.
