Axe has fallen on the agitating employees of ‘108 Saneevani Express’ and ‘102 Mahtari-Express’ Ambulance services.
Taking stern action, the operating company GVK, EMRI has terminated services of 16 of the employees, who were on indefinite strike since July 16.
The employees whose services were terminated include the State President of the Employees Association, Rajendra Rathore.
It is worth mentioning here that the other day, the operating company had provided an ultimatum to its agitating employees to resume duties on Thursday otherwise their services would be terminated.
Meanwhile, the employees whose services were terminated include State President of the Employees Union Rajendra Rathore, its Vice President Shiv Sahu, Secretary lokesh Dadsena, Purushottam Yadav, and Mahonis Sinha.
On the other hand, the Employees’ Association is adamant over their demands of timely payment of salary, ending the contract system and providing minimum wages. They have refused to return to work and have warned to intensify their agitation and even for approaching the court.
Meanwhile, the stopping of the emergency services had badly hampered the transportation of poor patients, especially in rural areas, who rely on the free ambulance services to reach the hospitals. With the ambulances going off the road, the needy persons are compelled to hire services of private vehicles.
