The State Election Commission has held back the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct for civic body polls in Chhattisgarh till further orders.
A circular to this effect was released for all district collectors and returning officers in this connection on Saturday.
The letter mentioned the order of Bilaspur High Court while stating that the time schedule announced for election in Municipal Corporation, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayat election 2014 released on November 7 has been held back till further orders.
