Proposed medical colleges in Rajnandgaon and Ambikapur
The hunt has begun for professors and other staff to be appointed for two proposed Government medical colleges in Rajnandgaon and Ambikapur in the state.
The authorities are looking to hire professors for Ambikapur on a monthly salary of `1.65 lakh while as `1.5 lakh is being offered for similar post in Rajnandgaon Medical College.
The process of search for faculty has started after the Medical Council of India (MCI) granted formal approval for setting up the aforesaid medical colleges.
For Rajnandgaon Medical College, the authorities are looking for faculty of one professor, each for the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Bio-chemistry.
The search is also on for professors for different departments of the proposed medical colleges. Since, Ambikapur is located at a distant place, higher salary is being offered to the faculty, it was learnt.
