Staff Reporter

Sarabjit Singh’s death in Pakistan which has grieved the entire nation has also brought strong reaction from the BJP youth wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parsihad (ABVP). Umesh Dutt the National General Secretary of ABVP termed it a vengeance for the hanging of Afzal Guru, the perpetrator of attack on the Parliament.

In an official communiqué Dutt condemned the incident and pointed out it as an attack on Indian Constitution. He said despite the fact that Sarabjeet had expressed possibilities of attack on him in the jail, the Pakistani Government paid no heed to the complaint and let the incident happened in a nonchalance way.

He also raised finger over the conviction of Sarabjit Singh and termed it another shameful act of the Pakistani judiciary. Dutt also took the chance to lash out at the PM Dr Manmohan Singh, and said the PM just expressed regret over the incident and built no pressure on Pakistan for arranging better medical facilities for Sarabjit Singh while he was in hospital. “lack of proper medical care led to the demise of Sarabjit Singh, Dutt” added. Dutt was of view that Government of India must break all political-diplomatic ties with Pakistan immediately. According to the ABVP General Secretary this incident has proved that Pakistan one cannot expect honouring of proper judicial and legal system.
