The owner of Adarsh Gas Agency(Chandkhuri, Arang block) Sandeep Dayal was sent on judicial remand till March 26 after his police custody expired on March 21.Dayal surrendered in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Neeru Singh on March 18.
Bharat Petroleum Company limited (BPCl) on Wednesday terminated their contract with a fine of Rs 83 lakh on the agency. The Agency had allegedly diverted 2.50 lakh gas cylinders to black market in Raipur and its adjoining areas between 2005 and 2012 till the raid on September 27, 2012.It also opened two unauthourized outlets. Police booked Dayal under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC and 3, 7 of Essential Commodities Act.
