Staff Reporter

Following a sting operation on a senior Congress leader by a national private news channel, Chief Minister Raman Singh has expressed his unhappiness over what he termed the prevailing 'murky political atmosphere' of the State happening in the name of ‘CDs’.

“It is really a matter of shame and it is beyond imagination who is hatching a conspiracy for whom”, Singh said.

Expressing concern over prevailing political state of affairs in the State, the Chief Minister further said: “ I am filled with sorrow and pain that politics of today has degraded.”

“When the people doing politics of idealism are indulging in such low grade politics, it is a loss for the politics as well as for the country”, he said.

Notably, a sting operation was on Monday night aired by a national private news channel which had allegedly recorded audio and video clips of Congress leaders who were allegedly doing a deal for poll tickets for two assembly constituencies with one of the alleged leader asserting that he had a CD of a senior Congress leader of Central leadership.
