Co-operatives Minister Dayaldas Baghel informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Monday that 2,75,862 gunny bags were purchased at a cost of Rs 830.41 crore for the paddy procurement process during Kharif season 2016-17.
In a written reply to Congress member Siyaram Kaushik, the Minister informed that during 2016-17, a total of 61,000 gunny bags were found unfit for use costing Rs37,72,850.
