About Rs2.63 crore had been approved for laying 4.15 kilometer length road at Kurud Development Block in Dhamtari district, officials stated. The amount was sanctioned under the Chief Minister's Rural Road Development Project. The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has issued an order to this effect from the Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan).
The Department officers said that Rs72.26 lakh was sanctioned for Charmudia-Bouthili route (Satnami Para) to Adharia Basti (One kilometer), Rs57.77 lakh for National Highway No 30-Charmudia route to Mandi (0.85 Km), Rs71.86 lakh for Pachpedi to Rampur (1.30 KM), Rs61.41 lakh for Nawagaon canal to Kurud-Megha Main route (One km).
The authorities have sanctioned Rs12.87 lakh for the maintenance of these roads. An amount of Rs7 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of a boundary wall and gate on the Community Hall premises at Kurud Nagar Panchayat in Dhamtari district. The amount has been allocated under the MP local Area Development Scheme of Ranvijay Singh Judeo. The construction will be done in six months period under the supervision of Chief Nagar Palika Officer of Nagar Panchayat Kurud.
