The owner of a marriage hall and two others have been fined Rs 9.50 lakhs and the hall has been sealed in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district after 1,000 people were invited to a wedding in abuse of lockdown norms.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pradeep Sahu on Sunday imposed a fine of Rs 4.75 lakhs on hall owner Virendra Chaurasia and Rs 2.37 lakhs each on the fathers of the groom and bride, Saroj Sahu and Prakash Sahu, at Ambikapur town, a press release said.
