The week-long Road Safety Week concluded here in the presence of Mayor Archana Choubey and Superintendent of Police Manish Sharma who felicitated students and NCC cadets for their extended cooperation in the drive. The Road Safety Week was being observed by Traffic Police from January 11 to 18 and where in several programmes including folk dances were performed to apprise the people about the importance of traffic rules.
People were urged to strictly follow the traffic rules. Mayor Choubey appreciated the efforts of traffic police for organising the week. She termed it as a good medium to aware people about traffic rules and contain road accidents and suggested that such programmes should be organised on regular basis. ASP Ashok Pipre, DSP Mukti Tirkey, City Kotwali SHO RK Sori, Traffic in-charge Vedvati Dariyo, eminent citizens and school students were also present.
