Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Monday continued its tirade against illegal posters,banners and hoardings erected across the city. The civic body’s squad also carried out an intensive wall painting works to hide slogans and advertisements mostly inscribed by the political parties. RMC City Investor, MN Thakur informed that the drive was launched in all eight zones.
As many as 104 illegally erected posters/banners were removed while the wall painting work was carried out at as many as 45 places to cover 1449 square ft area throughout the day, he added.
RMC Commissioner, Avneesh Kumar Sharan instructed the officials to visit their respective area at regular interval to ensure removal of all illegal posters,banners and hoardings and cover slogans and advertisements inscribed on wall during election. RMC’s drive is underway following the model code of conduct enforced ahead of the civic body polls and to ensure implementation of Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.
