State Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Brijmohan Agrawal on Thursday informed Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar that Chhattisgarh is yet to receive the second installment of Rs 200 crore approved for the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).
To this, Pawar directed the officials to take action for release of the installment for the scheme. Agrawal who met the Union Agriculture Minister at Krishi Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday said that 19 districts of Chhattisgarh have been selected for the National Horticulture Mission. The Minister also demanded that far flung regions of Chhattisgarh also be included under the National Horticulture Mission so that people from such regions could find good employment opportunities.
