Staff Reporter

We have already written papers of ‘development and prosperity’ during the last 10 years tenure and now it’s your turn to provide us the marks of distinction after judging our performance as we are hopeful of notching up the first position,” Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh told the people.

Addressing a gathering of about 15 thousand people at Village Jamawada on the periphery of Jagdalpur Dr Singh criticised the Central Government led by the Congress for its 60 years of inactiveness and corruption which were the real causes behind the everlasting poverty afflicting the masses and the skyrocketing inflation which is making the life of poor miserable. Counting the achievements of his Government in the form of food security, healthcare, social welfare sector and Rs250 crore bonus to farmers in lieu of paddy procurement, he promised the masses that the farmers would continue to get the paddy bonus till the BJP Government will remain in the saddle.

BJP candidate from Jagdalpur Santosh Bafna while mentioning the achievements of the Government  urged the people to ensure victory of the BJP for the bright future of Bastar.

later, Chief Minister Singh held a massive road show at Jagdalpur in favour of Bafna where thousands of people gathered to welcome him. Dr Singh accepted people’s gesture by greeting them shaking his hand from atop the Rath. The road show starting from Madia Chowk and passing through Kumharpada, Shahid Park Chowk, State Bank Chowk, Main Road, Gole Bazaar chowk, Gurugovind Singh Chowk, Sanjay Bazaar, Hanuman Mandir Chowk, Krishna Petrol Pump , Nyayalaya Chowk culminated at BJP Office. He was accompanied by Member of Parliament Dinesh Kashyap, Santosh Bafna and Kamal Chandra Bhanj Dev of the Jagdalpur Royal family. Bafna appealed the people to accept the salutation of the Chief Minister by ensuring victory of the BJP candidates.

The road show was also accompanied by a bikes rally taken out by hundreds of Bharatiya Yuva Morcha activists. Two groups of dancers also accompanied the road show throughout its route.
