The local court in Raipur on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea moved by former PWD Minister Rajesh Munat related to an FIR registered (39/19) at Pandri police station related to Antagarh tape case.
Former Deputy Advocate General Ramakant Mishra who appeared for Rajesh Munat, said, “the anticipatory bail plea was moved before 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge Vivek Kumar Verma. The plea was on technical grounds mainly and there is no evidence against petitioner’s involvement in the case, there is no audio conversation linked to him, the Section 9, 13 of Corruption Act imposed has been amended in year 2018 where prior permission has to be sought and other points related to case.”
Mishra said, “The court has rejected the anticipatory bail application on the ground that there seems no extraordinary situation and the case is in too early stage of investigation stage. The evidences are being collected.”
