Railways have alertedpassengers against carrying fire crackers and inflammable materials while travelling in trains during Diwali season. Carrying such materials while travelling is a crime and extensive checking is carried out during this period.
South East Central Railway in a message to the passengers urged them not to carry any inflammable materials like gas-cylinders, petrol/diesel, fire-crackers and others. If any passenger finds any co-traveller with such items, the TTE, RPF or railway employees should be intimated. Similarly, if any vendor is found to carry any such materials including burning stove, it should be also intimated. Additional to it smoking in public places is banned including in the trains and railway stations.
Additional to it the materials which have chances to catch fire like match box, lighter, films are also not safe to be kept during travelling. No passenger is allowed to tamper with the electrical equipment and switch board inside the coaches.
SECR urged the passengers to cooperate with railway administration for a safe travel during festival season.
