Hitting out at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on his comment on the Chhattisgarh Government at a public meeting in Kondagaon in restive Bastar region, the State BJP president Vishnudev Sai on Tuesday said, the Congress leader should first look within before pointing fingers at others.
Before making comments, he should first know what is the truth, he said, adding, the Congress leaders in the State have been feeding wrong information to their top leaders and by doing that they are defaming Chhattisgarh. Rahul Gandhi should compare the development of Bastar and Sarguja region with the tribal areas of Congress ruled States and he will know the reality, he said.
It is the Congress party which always adopts dubious methods during polls to come to power. It should know that the development works undertaken by Chief Minister Raman Singh led government in the forested areas of Bastar and Sarguja during the last ten years, he said.
If somebody evaluates the status of work undertaken by the Congress during the last 65 years , the head of Rahul Gandhi will go down in shame. During last ten years, the BJP government changed the image of the tribal areas , Sai said.
The migration of people from the Surguja in search of jobs have almost stopped. Tendu leaf collectors are being paid the highest bonus. They have been provided footwear, sarees and food security, he said.
Schools and colleges and technical institutions have been opened in villages. To bring the tribal students at par with those in urban areas, the government has taken several measures and the results were visible, he said.
The states where the Congress is in power, people have been suffering from scams, rampant corruption, unemployment. Farmers suicide are also common in such States, he said. The Congress Vice President should look within before throwing stones at others, he said.
