Public Works Department, Housing and Environment minister Rajesh Munat inspected the ‘Hydro Seeding’ of grass, a technique using machine for planting the grass. On experimental basis, it was tested in premises of Dr Ambedkar Mangal Bhawan, near official residence of minister.
A private institution based at Dehradun made the presentation of technique. In the presentation made the company claimed that through this technique on daily basis around 40000 square feet of land, the grass can be grown. It can be used in plains and even in mountain area and harsh areas.
Through the machine, vacant places on sides of roads, on dividers of road, retaining wall and gardens, the grass can be planted. Within the shortest period using the seed and necessary fertilizers, mixed the grassing is done. It provides better green cover and also beautification.
PWD OSD Anil Rai, Engineer in Chief D K Pradhan, RMC Commissioner Rajat Bansal and concerned department officials were present.
