Chhattisgarh In-charge of All India Congress Committee (AICCC), P.l. Punia took a meeting of ‘Chunav Abhiyan Samiti’ (CAS) of the party and reviewed the preparations being made for forthcoming Assembly polls in the State at Congress Bhavan on Monday.
Senior leaders of the party such as Chairman of the CAS, Charandas Mahant, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Bhupesh Baghel, leader of Opposition, T.S. Singhdeo, Senior leaders Mohammed Akbar, Satyanarayan Sharma and Ravindra Chaubey were present in the maiden meeting of the CAS held.
Party sources informed that Punia took feedback from the senior leader of the party regarding poll preparations across the state. The leaders apprised him in detail that the organization was effectively working on One Jawan, One Siyan (elderly person) and one Mahila (female) strategy. These workers have been deployed in each and every polling booth of the state, they informed.
Punia later also reviewed the booth-level preparations of the party in all the four assembly segments, North Raipur, South Raipur, Raipur (West) and Raipur Rural of the state capital by having discussions with the party workers of these areas, sources said.
