Reacting to the fictitious statements issued by the Congress, the State vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sachhidanand Upasne, in a press statement issued here on Sunday said that the Congress leaders were restless with the gross support given by the people during the first phase of Vikas Yatra of the Chief Minister.
He said that the presence of large number of people gathered at the Vikas Yatra functions to meet the popular BJP Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, who had flown the river of development despite the fierce summer heat has given sleepless nights to the Congress leaders.
In the fretful statement issued jointly by the State Congress President Nandkumar Patel and leader of opposition Ravindra Choubey had said that with the raids conducted at the Pushp Steel recently, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was fearful of he would be removed from the his post.
Upasne categorically denied that the Chhattisgarh Government has nothing to do with the Pushp Steel issue. He said that the industries established in the State needed coal blocks, the allotment of which were made by the Union Coal Ministry.
Sixty industries being established in the State had applied for allotment of coal blocks and the State Government had forwarded the applications to the Coal Ministry. In fact, the State Government did not give approval for the allotment of coal blocks to any industry, including Pushp Steel established in the State.
Upasane said that the heads of the Congress leaders would hang in shame if they compare the over development done by the BJP Government in the state during its nine-year reign with their 57 years’ period.
With the unique support given by the people, it has been established that the people were not giving any importance to the false statements of the Congress and have decided to re-elect the development-oriented BJP Government of Dr Raman Singh to power in Chhattisgarh, he added.
