nAs part of advisory issued by Government of India, after the closure of schools, colleges and universities across the state to control the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), now state government has declared the closure of public library, swimming pool and water parks till March 31 with immediate effect.
As per the earlier advisory issued, state government school and higher education department has declared closure of schools, colleges (both government and private) and universities (both government and private) till March 31, from Friday (March 13).
Similarly, the urban administration department secretary Alarmelmangai D in a letter issued to all the district collectors, Municipal Corporation Commissioners and Municipal Council-Nagar Panchayat Chief Executive Officers issued the directive to close all the public libraries, government, semi-government and private gymnasiums (gyms), swimming pools and water parks within limits of urban bodies.
The letter further directs to ensure stern implementation of the directive and submit the action taken report.
Additional to it, all the anganbadi and mini-anganbadi of state will remain closed till March 31 with immediate effect. During this period, the beneficiaries will be distributed ready-to-eat food without fail.
The weight festival and ‘Poshan Abhiyan’, the fortnight programmes will continue to be suspended till next order.
Women and child development department secretary Siddarth Komal Pardeshi, in a circular to departmental commissioner, all divisional commissioners, collectors, district programme officers and child development project officers of state have directed to ensure the implementation of the order.
In compliance with the Central Government’s advisory, state government has decided to close down all the aanganbadi centers and mini aanganbadi centers of the state till March 31, 2020 for prevention and control of corona virus infection (COVID-19).
In this duration, beneficiaries will be provided ready-to-eat foods as per the provisions. Vazan Tyohar and Poshan Pakhwada programmes have been postponed until further notice. Secretary Women and Child Development Depatrment Sidhartha Komal Singh Pardeshi has issued circular from mantralaya to department commissioner, all the divisional commissioners, collectors, district programme officers and child development project officials.
Skill Development, all the government and private institutions and training centers under Technical Education and Employment Department will also remain closed till March 31, 2020.
Additional Chief Secretary of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department Renu Pillai has issued a letter with necessary guidelines for prevention and control of corona virus, to Director Technical Education, Director Employment and Training, CEO Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority- Livelihood College Project Raipur, Registrar Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University Bhilai and principals of all the engineering colleges, polytechic institutions, pharmacy institutes and architechture institutes. It is stated in the letter that the examinations scheduled in this duration will be conducted as per the schedule. Appointed staff will have to make proper arrangements for the examinations. It is mentioned in the letter that all the instructions should be strictly complied with.
In compliance with the advisory, all the government and private universities and colleges in Chhattisgarh too have been closed with immediate effect till March 31. Annual examinations scheduled in this duration will be conducted as per the time-table. Commissioner, Directorate of Higher Education has issued circular in the context to registrars of government and private universities and principals of government and private colleges.
