The State Urban Administration and Development Directorate has asked all the District Medical Officers (DMOs) to make available 1.5 acres as 'land fill sites' in their respective jurisdictions for safe disposal of bio medical waste.
The land made available by the District Medical Officers would be utilised by the State Health and Family Welfare Department to establish incinerators and other waste disposal facilities, officials informed.
All the urban civic bodies have been directed to provided information on the action taken within the next seven days.
