The engineers and technicians of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company ltd, (CSPTCl) have connected the high tension sub-stations of Bhatapara, Bemetara and Simga with 132 Kv Borjhara Sub Station near Raipur. The step was taken after a technical fault developed in the 160 MVA Transformer recently at Urla industrial area near Raipur.

Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Aman Kumar Singh stated that it might take a 10 to 15 days for replacing the faulty transformer with a new one. Taking the problem seriously, the CSPTCl engineers and technicians decided to utilise the additional capacity of 220 KV sub station at Bhatapara and 160 KV sub station at Bemetara to tide over the problem.

The engineers while utilising the 132 KV transmission line through Simga Sub station connected the line to the Raipur Sub-station while restoring power supply in Borjhara and Urla industrial areas with 24 hours.
