Staff Reporter

There is no power cut situation in the state, claimed Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Power Company Shailendra Shukla.

“There is no power cut situation in the state. It has come to our notice that in civic bodies large numbers of people are using motor pumps to draw more water, which is resulting in shortage of water,” he said in a press release issued on Tuesday, while adding that disruption of power supply during these hours is a practical solution to ensure water availability for all.

So, in larger interest Power supply is being disconnected deliberately, he said.

According to Shukla this power disruption is temporary for about half an hour in the morning hours. Unfortunately, it has been propagated as power cut by some people.

Company regretted the move to disconnect the power supply which might be causing troubles to some citizens.

Power Company’s best effort is to see people happy and it seeks cooperation from all sections of the society, he added.
