Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Subrat Sahoo provided detailed information of the poll programme, maintaining election expenditure account, model code of conducts, different mobile applications, and other matters related to the ensuing Lok Sabha Polls to all the national and state-level political parties at his office on Tuesday.
It was the maiden state-level meeting of political parties with the CEO after the announcement of the poll schedule.
Sahoo said, “In first phase on April 11 the lone Bastar seat will go to poll for which notification will be issued on March 18. In the second phase, on April 18 the polling is scheduled for Kanker, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund seats for which notification will be issued on March 19 and for third phase polling on April 23 for seats of Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Raigarh and Sarguja, the notification will be issued on March 28.”
“VIGIL, ‘Suvidha’, ‘Samadhan’, ‘Sugam’ mobile apps have become functional after notification of election. These can be utilized by political parties,” he said. Joint CEO Padmini Bhoi Sahu gave details of maintenance of records related to all election expenses, process of seeking permissions for vehicles and others, opening of new bank account for election, date for submission of expense accounts within 30 days of declaration of result and updating the bank-passbook, cash book on regular basis. The session was also held to show how to log into all the apps to facilitate the political party and common man.
