Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting at Kodatarai of Pursour block in coal-rich Raigarh district on February 8 at 10.00 am.
He will launch the Lok Sabha poll campaign for the BJP in state. Security has been beefed up in the state ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
Chhattisgarh has total 11 Lok Sabha seats and the BJP had won 10 seats in the 2014 parliamentary polls. As the BJP was voted out of power in recently held assembly polls, it would be crucial for the party to keep the moral high of party cadres before Lok Sabha polls.
Union Minister of State Vishnudeo Sai, BJP national vice president and former chief minister Raman Singh will also participate in the function.
