Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has already made inroads in political scenario of Chhattisgarh through its door-to- door contact and is standing with the people for their rights said Delhi Cabinet Minister and party’s Chhattisgarh In-charge Gopal Rai.
“BJP has ruled the state for 15 years while Congress could not stand with people since formation of state; so AAP stands as an alternative, he said while addressing a press conference here at Raipur Press Club on Monday.
State's AAP unit from October 2 will start ‘Jhaadu Chalao-Brashtachar Baghao’ (Sweep Corruption Out) programme in Chhattisgarh including road shows and public meetings in 45 state assembly constituencies, said Rai. He said he would lead the rally from Dantewada to Kanker, ajnandgaon and Durg along with party’s State Coordinator Sanket Thakur.
Dr Sushil Gupta and Somnath Bharati, former Law Minister and MLA would start from Kharsia move to Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, while Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh would commence it from Korba and Delhi MLA Alka Lamba from Dhamtari.
He said all the rallies would converge at Raipur on October 10 where a road show would be organised. On this day, a report on status of State's political scenario would also be launched.Rai said that on each day corruption cases would be brought out in each area based on the documents, issues related to unemployment, farmers among others would be raised on regular basis during the campaign. On alliance with former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi’s party with BSP and status of Congress party in the state, Rai said that both parties have lost ground in state and it is not going to make any difference. “BJP has ruled state for 15 years so people want a change”.
Answering a query, Rai said that even small budgets can do wonders if honest initiatives are taken like Delhi Government.
