BJP candidate Prem Prakash Pandey on Sunday claimed that it was very clear from the tremendous love he received from the people during his public contact drive that this time he would represent Bhilai City constituency in the Assembly.
Talking to reporters, Pandey said that people across the country have been reeling under inflation, a gift from the Congress-led Central Government. The Congress Government at the Centre has established a new record in corruption. At local level, people were desperate of the incapability, inactivity, and hollow promises of the Congress MlA, he added.
Replying to a query, Pandey said that to give sufficient drinking water to each house of Khursipar and Chhavni areas was his first priority. Moreover, for that, if need be, separate small project would be launched, he added. He said that the development works he had started during his last stint have not progressed even for an inch. Zeroing in on the working system of the present MlA, Pandey said that small and big problems have galore in Bhilai Nagar during the last five years. One-by-one all these problems would be solved in a phased manner, he added.
On the lease scheme, Pandey said that the Congress MlA, who claimed of bringing lease in 90 days, has been writing letters only during the last five years. He brought AICC President Sonia Gandhi for election campaign, but could not get any assurance from her on the lease. He talks about establishing PF and labour Commissioner office at Bhilai, but could not.
Pandey said that it would be his priority to complete the work of international colony very soon. Referring on his declaration, he said that township and Khursipar and Chhavni areas have different problems and needs. Civic facilities in different sectors of the township are in disorder. Sewerage and drinking water pipelines are 50 year old. Initiative would be taken to replace them, he added.
According to Pandey, to bring back to the track the development speed of Bhilai, people would elect him and the BJP would make hatrick by coming to power in the State.
