Players of Pakistan’s lahore lions (ll) and Sri lanka’s Southern Express (SE) on Wednesday arrived at Swami Vivekanand Airport to play qualifying matches in sixth edition of Champions league Twenty20 (ClT20).

In the Qualifier, all four teams including Mumbai Indians (MI) and New Zealand’s T20 team, Northern Knights (NK), which arrived here on Tuesday, will play each other once, with the top two advancing to the Group Stage.

Naya Raipur situated Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium has bagged eight matches including six matches of qualifier stage to be played here between September 13 and 16.

Meanwhile, MI's head coach John Wright said that the side will name a replacement skipper by Thursday as Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the tournament after sustaining a fracture in the middle finger during the second ODI against England at Cardiff, last month.

Sources claimed that lasith Malinga (Sri lanka), who faced criticism on preferring a foreign team over his domestic T20 champion team (SE), could lead MI. The team management is also considering the name West Indies’ aggressive all-rounder, Kieron Pollard for captainship.
