Senior Congress leader and President of party’s State Tribal Wing, Amarjeet Bhagat, breaking his pledge of not entering his Assembly constituency Sitapur till he gets a ministerial berth or other coveted post will return to his constituency on Monday.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who had reportedly pacified Bhagat, will accompany him to Sitapur in state helicopter and will also meet the people of Sitapur.
Bhagat since the declaration of results of assembly polls on December 11 was camping in the state capital and was adamant of returning to his constituency only if he was rewarded with some coveted post.
Bhagat while talking to The Pioneer confirmed that the Chief Minister will be accompanying him to his assembly constituency Sitapur. “He (Chief Minister) will also be spending some time in my constituency and meet people there”, he said.
Replying to a query whether he had got any assurance of getting a Cabinet berth, Bhagat laughingly said he will disclose about it when time will come.
