Overthrow BJP govt: Baghel

Staff Reporter

If the BJP is defeated in the upcoming elections in five states, the price of diesel and petrol will fall to the level of the UPA government, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Sunday.

He was addressing a public rally in Jaipur organized by the Congress.

He said that a day after people voted against inflation in just ended by-elections, the Modi government reduced the prices of petrol and diesel.

So, to bring down the prices of petrol and diesel further, the BJP has to be defeated in states which are going to the polls, he said.

He said Gujarat was known for having produced Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel during the freedom struggle. Now, the state has given the country four more sons: two of them are sellers and the other two are buyers.

He said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had repeatedly warned the Centre regarding demonetization, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Covid-19.

He also said the government will be forced to take the three farm laws back. The law had to be withdrawn after 14 months. This is the power of the farmers and of Rahul Gandhi.

Baghel said the time has come for the people to recognize their power and overthrow the BJP government at the Centre.
