Over 10 lakh people have been benefitted from services being provided by the Chhattisgarh Government through 175 lok Seva Kendras operational across Chhattisgarh.

As of now, around 36 services are available with the kendras, but soon around nine services of the State’s Revenue Department would be added to it, officials stated.

In interest of the public, Revenue Department would start providing digitally certified B-1 and copies of ‘Khasra’ from February 15 through lok Seva Kendras.

In order to ensure benefit of various Government services and encourage e-governance, the State Government established 175 lok Seva Kendras across the State in September last year.

“As of now, over 10 lakh people have been benefitted from lok Seva Kendras established by the State Government. In the duration of less than one year, about 3.5 lakh income certificates, 2.76 lakh caste certificates and 2.06 domicile certificates have been issued from these centres,” said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) Saurabh Kumar.

These centres are being operated by CHiPS in assistance from General Administration Department, Kumar said.

He further informed that following the directives of Chief Minister Raman Singh, Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand and Principal Secretary of IT Department Aman Kumar Singh personally monitor the working of the centers on a regular basis.

At least nine services of the Revenue Department would soon be available in these centres which include demarcation, name transfer, credit book, renewable of ‘Nazul Patta’, Nazul Patta clearance and others, he said.
