In the meeting chaired by collector Alarmel Mangai D. here on Saturday, the outline of different public utility works to be done under the corporate social responsibility head has been prepared for the year 2014-15.
It has been decided in the meeting that under the CSR head, children of the Rowghat Project-affected villages in Kanker district would be selected for school and B.Sc Nursing education. Bhilai Steel Plant will the bear expenses. Similarly, the 12th pass children at Kachhe and nearby areas will be selected for higher studies. Block medical officer concerned will select beneficiaries for treatment at Jyoti Hospital Dillirajhara.
The collector said that a committee would examine the works proposed in the CSR of the public undertaking companies related to Rowghat Project and sanction would be accorded only after the approval of the committee.District Panchayat CEO Kartikeya Goyal asked all public undertaking companies to ensure work from CSR head. In the meeting, chief medical and health officer Dr Turre, assistant commissioner Tribal Development, district education officer, officers of PHED and forest department proposed works from CSR head.
Assistant collector Jagdish Sonkar, SDM Bhanupratappur, executive engineers of PWD and PHED, CMHO Bhilai Steel Plant Jaiswal, representatives of Depot Industries limited Siltara, Growth Centre Raipur, director Godavari Power and Steel limited and others were present in the meeting.
