District Collector Bhim Singh issued stern directives to the officials concerned to ensure opening of Anganbadi centers on time and check prevailing irregularities if any in them. He also warned of stringent action against those who fail to comply with his order. The warning of the Collector came during a review meeting of the working of Women and Child Welfare Department here the other day. According to him, lok Suraaj Abhiyan would to start from April 13.
He also issued order for supply of Mid-day meal and Ready-to-Eat food to the Anganwadis through the respective Self Help Groups (SHGs) that run them. Besides this, he issued order for disbursement of salary of the Anganwadi workers for the month of March along with honorarium for the month of February. He lauded the SHG for the vital role they played for improving the condition of the malnourished children.
