Sub-divisional magistrates, Waqf board and Tehsildars were directed to complete survey of waqf properties come under revenue areas, Cantt area and Municipal Corporation area by following state administration’s fixed format. DM Ravinath Raman said this while presiding over a meeting with district officers on Friday.
Those properties, registered during previous survey, should not be registered for the second time, he instructed. The survey of properties which come under Cantt area should be completed through Cantonment Board CO, DM added.
DM also directed SDMs concerned to complete the survey by August 27 and to submit the report the same day to DM office. SDMs were directed to identify the waqf properties which have been encroached upon and to have them freed.
Things should be assigned lekhpal and the survey should be completed on a fixed deadline, DM said. Waqf board inspector would review the survey report and later the process of registration of properties will be completed at the state administration level, DM said. SDMs Swati Bhadauria, Premlal and other district officers were present at the meeting.
