An awareness programme on sharing initiatives taken up by the Ministry of labour and Employment, Government of India was held under the aegis of the Office of Deputy Chief labour Commissioner (Central), Chhattisgarh here at NTPC Korba.
Addressing the programme as chief guest, Dr Banshilal Mehto, Member of Parliament, Korba appreciated efforts of the Office of Deputy Chief labour Commissioner (Central), Chhattisgarh in reaching out to the stakeholders for compliance of statutory aspects relating to labour laws.
GK Mohapatra, RlC (Central), Raipur and D K Mallick, RlC (Central), Bilaspur briefly explained the audience about the recent changes in labour laws and also addressed their queries. Akhilesh Roy, AlC (Central), Raipur made a presentation on various initiatives taken up by the Office of Deputy Chief labour Commissioner (Central), Chhattisgarh.
N K Sinha, GGM, NTPC Korba, Sanjay Kumar Singh, State President, INTUC and Dharam Das Shukla,Organising Secretary, Central Zone, BMS also spoke on this occasion. SS Das, AGM (HR) presented Vote-of-thanks. Management officials from nearby industries including Pal, CGM, SECl, Korba were present during this occasion. Employees, EICs, contractors, representatives of unions/associations also attended the programme in large numbers.
In a separate programme, G K Mohapatra, RlC (Central), Raipur and D K Mallick, RlC (Central), Bilaspur conducted a Workshop on labour laws and addressed specific queries put up by EICs and contractors of NTPC Korba attending the programme. The interactive session was also highly appreciated by the audience.
