Activists of the Congress-backed National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Wednesday boycotted a webinar at the Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication, alleging the new Vice Chancellor was promoting the ideology of RSS.
The activists led by state NSUI Secretary Honey Bagga put soot on the pictures of Nathuram Godse and Veer Sawarkar besides gheraoing the newly appointed Vice Chancellor Baldeo Bhai Sharma.
Bagga alleged that Sharma wass promoting the ideology of RSS in the university by organizing such webinars. The student group also demanded his resignation.
NSUI district President Amit Sharma and others participated in the protest.
