The National Occupational Health Service Centre (NOHSC) of the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) celebrated the ‘National Occupational Health Day’ on Saturday at its conference Hall here.
M Ravi (ED works & I/c Projects) was the chief guest of the programme, a BSP Press release informed.
Dr Shailendra Jain, Director (M&HS) was the guest of honour. The programme was also participated by Dr SK Issar, Director (M&HS) and Dr Sujata Hiran, Director(M&HS).
The quarterly Heath Bulletin “Shubchintak” took one more step by becoming 'e-Shubhchintak' which was released by chief guest M Ravi. This year SK Dafre was awarded as 'Best Worker' by the chief guest, the Press release informed.
M Ravi in his speech appreciated the work done by NOHSC, Bhilai and wished them progress in the years ahead.
Dr Shailendra Jain in his speech stressed on the importance of team work at work area.
Dr Al Benjamin, DD, NOHSC presented the annual report 2015-16 on the occasion.
Deliberation on this year's theme was on the topic – “Taking Occupational Health to Unorganised Sector: Challenges and Strategies” which was done by Dr S K Issar, Director (M&HS). A quiz was conducted by Md Ashraf and Inderjeet Kaur, Valsala Pillai and Shubhshree Prashant for the audience on the topic “Occupational Health & Safety”.
The Programme was conducted by Inderjeet Kaur, Health Educator. Vote of thanks was delivered by Shubhshree Prashant, Assistant Manager (M&HS).
Also present were T Pandayaraja, GM (SED&FS), NK Banchor, OA president, Arun Kumar, DGM I/c (C&IT), Dr P K Banerjee, Jt Dir (M&HS), DGM AK Shrivastava, PK Singh and other executives and employees from different departments.
