No room in trains left due to summer rush

SR

Summer vacations have started so have the wedding seasons. This summer could be troublesome for the people who so far have not got their berths reserved in the trains as no berths are available in almost all the long route or short route trains.

All the super fast train going via Raipur have no rooms left for reservation, informs the official website of Indian Railway.

Hence in next two months commuters will have to depend on Tatkal reservations. Almost 40 trains running via Raipur from the month of May to August have waiting more than 160.

Trains going towards Punjab (Chhattisgarh Express, Jammutavi Express, Gondwana Express and Rajdhani Express) have no room till 25 July.

According to the Hindu wedding Muhurats in the month of May 18 days have vivah-muhurts while in the month of July it has been reduced to 12 days in June

and 8 days in July, so the rush will be receding gradually in trains.

PRO Raipur division Ratan Basak said, trains in Mumbai – Howrah rout are running 8 to 10 hours late and are also jam packed with passengers.

He said Raipur Railway zone is attaching extra sleeper bogies and general bogies for the convenience of passengers.

Further Basak said, such condition comes twice in every year (summer and winter season) but apart from these seasons rush for booking in trains remains constant throughout the year.

However after the school open in July, the crowd in trains comes down, he added.
