All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijay Singh said on Monday that when the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) was already protesting against State Government’s ‘anti-farmer’ policies then there was no need for supporting a ‘parallel demonstration.’
Addressing a news conference at the Circuit House here, Singh said that the Central government has taken away the bonus right of farmers and the decision taken by Chhattisgarh Government will be considered as ‘anti-farmer.’
Accepting the defeat of Congress party in Maharashtra and Haryana, AICC General Secretary said that same type of mandate had come during 2004 and 2009 while saying that it happens in politics.
He appealed to the party workers to unitedly work hard for earning the confidence of the people of the State.
