Chhattisgarh’s Water Resources Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has termed allegation of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik that Chhattisgarh is stopping Mahanadi river water on its Kalma Barrage as ‘untrue’ and ‘baseless’.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Agrawal said that water level at the Kalma Barrage had seen no change during the past six months.
No additional water was stored at Kalma Barrage and a gate had been kept open for exit of water, he said.
