NMDC ltd has registered a growth of 20% in production and 24% in sales of iron ore for the year 2016-17 over the corresponding period 2015-16.
The company produced 34.03 million tonnes and sold 35.62 million tonnes during 2016-17 against production of 28.58 million tonnes and sales of 28.84 million tonnes in corresponding period last year, a NMDC press release informed.
NMDC has produced 10.37 million tonnes and sold 9.77 million tonnes of iron ore for the 4th quarter of 2016-17 against production of 8.53 million tonnes and sales of 8.55 registering a growth of 22% in production and 14% in sales in corresponding period last year.
This has been the highest ever annual iron ore production and sales of NMDC since inception.
