To fulfill the dream of Mahatma Gandhi self-reliant villages, focused work is required to unleash Green and White revolutions in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said.
He was addressing a Govardhan Puja organized at his official residence here on Friday. He greeted people on the occasion of Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Gauri-Gaura Puja and Bhai-Dhuj.
He said several schemes are operational to promote agriculture in the state.
Chhattisgarh needs 2.5 lakh litres of milk daily basis but production is less. So, there is a need for a White revolution where milk can be supplied to Anganwadis as well as primary and middle schools to fight malnutrition.
