A 30-year-old Naxalite carrying a reward of Rs 3 lakh on his head on Monday surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said.
Pandu Ram Savlam was the deputy commander of the Vajedu local operation squad (LOS), which functions under the Naxalite Telangana state committee, Bijapur Superintendent of Police Kamlochan Kashyap said.
He was involved in the Tekulagudem encounter last year and several other Naxalite incidents from 2010 to 2021.
