PWD Minister Rajesh Munat has directed the construction firm DS Constructions to ensure full compliance of agreement signed between the State Public Works Department (PWD) and the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) besides carrying out necessary repairs on the Raipur-Durg four-lane road constructed by it on ‘Build-Operate-Transfer’ (BOT) basis.
The Minister while inspecting the Raipur-Durg four-lane told the firm to remove shortcomings in the quality of the work and repair the road at Charoda, Sirsagate, Bhilai-3 CBSE Chowk and Chandra Maurya Chowk, where cracks have developed, within 15 days
Munat also sought information from the firm about the action taken by it in the maintenance of the road during the past one year.
While inspecting the Kumhari Toll Plaza on the Durg four-lane road, the Minister asked the construction agency to ensure maintenance and repair of the road as per the agreement before the last date of Toll Recovery which is March 2015. M/s DSC Ventures Private limited New Delhi had constructed the four-lane road.
Munat also asked to prepare next action plan for the maintenance of the road and held a meeting of the officers concerned and the construction agency at Durg Circuit House and issued necessary guidelines.
