A 23-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping into a well along with her two children in a village in Korba district in Chhattisgarh, the police said on Friday.
The bodies of Girja Bai, her two-year-old daughter Sania and six-month-old son Siddhant were found floating in the well near their house on Thursday in Mangamar village, Korba Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma said.
As per preliminary investigation, the woman left the house with her children when the other family members were asleep, he said.
The woman, who suffered from mental illness, jumped into the well along with the children, the officer added.
